I think both sides of the fence is right on this topic. I have made a few versions of this. Because I have the skill set to do this. I cant solder. I know this, that's why I pay Connor to assemble my Eggfinders. I think it's about what you want, what you can do, and what you have time to do.

But the price is not all that far off, minus the shipping. My time is worth something. Somone mentioned the black foam, yea that stuff costs more than the PCV pipe. I actuall thought of doing the same thing as the ebay poster, but couldn't make the numbers work. Everyone on TRF would make fun of me...
