Quick Open Rocket Question - Opening Saved Files

I'm just starting to play with Open Rocket. I have a test OpenRocket.ork file I saved to my desktop (Windows Vista), but when I go to open it I get a window stating that "WIndows Cannot Open this File". I searched the forum for Open Rocket threads and have tried to open some of the files attached by other members in their threads, but have the same problem. I know I'm missing something easy/obvious. Help?

Open OpenRocket first, then use the file-open menu to open the files.

It's probably difficult to get MIME types to associate with Java programs.
