@kjhambrick you're actually who I was thinking of when I saw this. We didn't meet on Saturday, but I saw you walking around with a Yagi 
Yes, that was my old Walston that I've not used since 1999 or 2000.
It wouldn't charge when I first got it out but it was a bad charger ... too much Playa dust, I suppose.
I was nervous that the old NiCads in the receiver would let me down about half way out to the landing site so I tested them a couple times at the school yard on my 4-year-old granddaughter Evie.
So far, so good on the Batteries.
That Flagi is interesting in that it can be broken down to fit in your pocket.
