I’m getting ready to build this original FlisKits kit from 2012, were skins ever made available? I built the 24mm version years ago, and painted similar to Cape Hatteras (I didn’t use skins, though they were available, IIRC). Masking and painting that was a bit of a challenge, the MMX is way too small for me to use that method.

Not that I know of. How about downscaling the skins from the larger kit and use it on the smaller one?

Here's another option:
Instead of masking for the stripes, just spray a basecoat. then cut strips of decal paper the proper width and spray paint those the color of your choice. Cut and apply the decal strips. No masking required. Clear coat to lock down the decals. Easy peasy.
