Pico Alt L04 info?

Hi, all:

I have a Pico Alt L04. It's a pretty good little altimeter, but I was never able to download the driver program to my "stone age" PC. Now I have a late-model HP laptop running Windows 7. It has many, MANY times the speed and storage capacity of my old desk top.

Was wondering if the driver program for my altimeter would work with Windows 7? If so, is there any way to modify the download dongle so it's compatible with USB inputs? My new computer doesn't have any serial ports!

Anyhow, if anyone knows if these things can be done, please advise.

Not sure, but if I were a betting man, I'd guess the Pico download dongle uses the FT series USB/Serial silicon... you can get the latest Windows Virtual Com Port drivers here:
