You're gonna have one heck of a time getting an igniter in there....
 
Maybe 1000ga nichrome with igniterman conductive primer? I'm sure the ignition mechnaism is built in when the MEMS is fabbed. It would be interesting to know what the fuel was.

A form of Hydrocarbon according to the website.
 
If you think that MEMS thruster is neat, then check out the solid-state digital MEMS thruster developed for nanosats by Cal Tech, Aerospace and TRW for DARPA.

Yeah I was looking at that one. Looks like there has been a ton of work on these for quite a while. The original link was just the first one I stumbled upon.
 
Yeah, the digital thruster has been around for a while. I came across it in May 2000 when writing a proposal on solar sailing.
