Years ago, I launched the 54mm version at NSL at Bong. Trip Barber was the LCO. He said "next we have a Big Daddy on a J....., that can't be right. Has this flown before??? Yes!
This is an old thread but I had the exact same question. I'm doing a stock build of the Estes Big Daddy for my small field fleet. I will be adding an ounce of nose weight. Thanks for all the replies.
