Micro rails?

I bought a Mach 1 kit and it has micro rail buttons. What are these and how do I use them?

I have an Apogee launch tower I can use but maybe the micro rails are easier to use, especially if I can just slip it over a standard launch rod my club has.

You want the 10mm Makerbeam.
Haven't tried Openbeam, but the graphic shows that will work as well.
Good thing is a 1/8" rod fits into the rail and can be clamped in place so you can use your regular launch pad.
I launched my Mach 1 Exiter on the Makerbeam rail a few months ago.

I saw a photo that shows the micro rail corner can also slip into a standard 1010 rail!

I have found the micro buttons sometimes bind in the 10mm rails. I have just opted to use the mini buttons. They are small enough to use on virtually any rocket, even smaller LPRs.

iirc the Makerbeam can slip into a 1010, using opposing slots not just a corner of the Makerbeam, the OpenBeam I do not know.
