Looking for a better onboard camera for video. Rockets smaller then L1 size.

Looking for camera options for rockets smaller then a L1 size. I have use 880,mobius,estes camera but the length of the battery, being able to see the battery light and flashing tiny lights in the sun and then waiting for your turn for the rocket to launch it has become frustrating. You have the camera on but waiting for your launch it stops taking video or the battery runs out and the difficulty of seeing the tiny light to see what mode its in. There has to be better smaller cameras which can attach securely for easier operation.
I have a runcam which is great but its a little too large for low power models or tight compartments. Just wondering if I missed some new tech camera's.
