Does anyone use something such as the shelf in smaller diameter rockets to hold their JLCR close to the end of the rocket so it has to travel a shorter distance for ejection?

For larger diameter rockets, I’ve used a Centering ring to hold the chute bundle higher up, or added a baffle. Usually, though, if there’s that much space, I’d make a longer motor tube to reduce the volume required to pressurize.
