i know that i look like ask hole
but it's my first time so i'm somehow confused
i really appreciate your help

i cant find a good reference to make sure of my information so i'm asking my question here on forum
if i can ask you about my recovery calculations

first step

i use this equation to calculate the required area for my weight :A=(2 m g)/(ρ Cd V^2)

then i go to this link: https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calcul...hemisphere.php

to see which hemisphere diameter will cover my area from the curved surface area [A]

then i calculate my gores dimensions using this link: https://www.tedberets.co.uk/chutedata.html

for example
for 20 Kgs rocket with a 5 m/s decent rate
the required area is 17.5 m^2
according to first link i will need 3.6 m parachute diameter

is it good ?
