I started flying in 1970 with an MRI Lambda-8 kit purchased at K-Mart. First meet was NARAM-16 in Manassas VA. Lots of midwest meets and NARAMs, and just flying for fun. Due to field shortages I am a low-power guy, but enjoyed seeing HP flights at LDRS events in Medina OH back in the day, and at NARAM-59. Looking forward to attending NSL-East next month and flying my now 49-year old Estes Omega.

Welcome back! I had a couple Model Rectifier kits year ago. Seems like they had some smoke only motors too for effects on the pad. There are a number of clubs around MI and IN. Check out the NAR and TRA sites. I, too, plan to be at NSL-E. I went to the Thunderstruck launch the Indiana Rocketry group ran in April and it was a well run launch so I'm sure they'll do a great job with NSL-E.
