Down these mean skies, a kat must fly!
Funny, I went to that same sportsman's off of 65 on Friday... no .22LR. Lots of everything else though!
What .22 shortage?
I picked up a box of 300 CCI AR Tactical at the CalExpo gunshow today. Paid $75 which was way more than wanted to but it's very hard to find.
Today I learned to save the plastic CCI boxes as they can be sold on PayPal for $5 a whack.
There are several WalMarts where I live and multiple gun shops/big box sporting goods stores but high demand ammo is very difficult to get.Find out when walmart and other local stores get shipments. $75 for bulk ammo is insane.
Kit- I agree. Most of the research I've done on the CDC website strongly disagrees with those stats.
There is an issue, as overblown as the video was. I was just playing nice.
The final outcome was more than I could hope for...
I corrected some of the parts, as the rifle was a mix bag of Tula and Izhevsk (not Izzy) parts. I managed to find most of the Tula parts to correct the rifle, save for the scope mount. I have not shot the rifle much, as our field still has beans in it... but once picked, I will get in some home-on-the-range time.
I'm guessing that there are a lot of new shooters out there who are new to the sport, which leads to the increased demand for ammo. Plus there are a lot of hoarders and folks out to make a quick buck reselling at a markup. There are soon going to be a lot of floor boards caving in from all that ammo. The sad part is kids aren't getting to learn how to shoot because folks are buying up .22LR who don't really need it.
Funny, I've never owned a 10/22. Taught my wife to shoot on my Winchester single shot .22, then a 9mm, then an AR. The grin on her face after shooting the AR was priceless.
10/22's are America's gun.
Mention it by name and everyone pipes up "Hey, I have one of those."
Over 5 million have been manufactured since release in 1964.
Mine's an International model with the Mannlicher stock and looks like this...
