Launched my first Gorilla yesterday.

I really miss the AMW skidmark (somehow, the CTI version isn't the same to me), but Jim seems to have produced a superior version called the Black Lightning.

Wow, that's a slow burner. And it takes it's time building up to liftoff thrust, too!

Gotta be slow motion.
Ya think? OK, that would explain certain things... :p

Seriously, I usually play embedded videos with the sound muted (at least the first time through), so if there was any audible indication that the clip was in slo-mo, I missed it. So I'm sitting there watching the clip and thinking, "Gee, this ignition sequence is slow!..."

Sorry,

Should have mentioned it was shot at 210 frames per second. I thought the smoke might give it away. Ignition was still relatively slow because my pyrodex slugs fell out when we erected the pad. Still lit fine though.
