You could always make him a passenger on a flying sleigh...lol
True, however, with my history of starting something and then starting something, and then starting somehting else....
 maybe I should concentrate on just getting Frosty to fly. Be nice to fly him THIS season.

Use styrofoam balls, glue them into a stack forming a pyramid, coat the stack with fake snow, run a tube thru the center and put Frosty on top as the nose.

You dont mean that old Asbestos in a spray can.:y: I like the styrofoam idea.
Definitely should have some kind of mound of snow under it.

Here's an idea. Take a thin brush and do some light blue squiggles on the snowballs to give then that watery look. Careful not to overdo it though. You wouldn't want it to look like it was melting. And maybe some plastic icicles for stand-offs?

That is so me this year. Can't seem to get any birds finished.

No, I mean that shredded plastic stuff that you can spread around. Use thinned white glue to coat the styrofoam, and apply the fake snow like applying glitter.

Oh that reminds me. Scotty, don't "pull a Gary" - plan your lug placement in advance.:D

OH...Taking a Monday morning cheap shot at me are ya? Scotty, you don't want your Frosty rocket looking like a flying cocoanut macaroon pyramid do ya?
This is what I posted in the Holloween candy thread......

Not nuts over Coconut

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No kids (one son)at home these days. When I was a youngster and to this very moment. Anything that has to do with COCONUT!!!!!!!!Even if its remotely related.Oil,the smell of it in suntan lotion, ect :puke: x 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000.7645

LW is having a little fun at my expense today Scott. It's all true that I AM so forgetful with launch lugs. If I weren't, he'd have 1 less thing to poke fun at me about. When he pokes, I poke and vice versa. That's what friends do sometimes. Now, you just gotta decide how you're gonna get Frosty off the ground. Maybe you can slap some wings on him and make a parasite glider out of him...LOL

I'd like to see a launch of one of these snowmen...

Scotty Dog:
Why not try some Styrofoam balls. They are a lot lighter and very easy to work with come in all the sizes needed... I think the largerst I've seen was 12" in diameter;)

Heres my micro Frosty, He's been flying for many seasons now and a hoot every time!

Scotty,

I'm talking about this stuff

It's flaky and sparkly and looks, smells and tastes nothing like coconut.

I recommend this poly stuff rather than the stuff that "blooms" into "snow" when you add water. The latter turns back into an innocuous powder once it dries out.

You don't HAVE to use balls, you could use any sort of styrofoam material to sculpt a snow fort, or glacier, or whatever. The gist of my original suggestion was to create a structure under Frosty that will provide "drag stabilization" while keeping with a snow theme.:snowflake:

You could use foam core and make a gingerbread house. Make a large cone, and decorate like a tree and put Frosty on top. :tree: Of course you could also go with the CHAD method of creating a traditional body tube with fins and put Frosty on as the nose cone -- But I know you are not really into the "traditional" models.:cool2:
