Electronics Bay Help

I just got myself the Firestick XL - I’ve never done an electronics bay and I’m somewhat confused by the actual logistics. Since the ejection charge comes from the bottom of the rocket, how will the parachute deploy if it’s in the section above the payload bay? Would the payload bay not block in so only the payload bay deploys and not the top end of the rocket?

Go to a launch. Find some folks that look like they know what they are doing. Hang out, watch, ask questions, yeah be a pest about it. Repeat. Take notes.
