Zero disrespect to the other members of the fleet, but I like the tiny one the best. No objective reason why, but it just seems extra awesome. Hope the launch goes well!
Loved her books. One of the few authors I wrote to. Got a very nice postcard in return.

Hope no trees around. Those dragon tails have a remarkable similarity to grappling hooks!
Dragon fliers do not let little things like hooky, recovery gear/tree catching fins get in the way!
Fortuneatly trees are a bit away from the launch site. Due to the high winds did not launch the Gold Dragon, but all the other, including the little white one, went perfectly. Pictures later.
Oddrocs, especially on a first flight, and high winds don't mix.

Sorry I missed the family outing yesterday, Bruce. Looks like things went pretty happily?
All went perfectly. Didn't launch the gold due to the high winds.
Like the liqueurs in my pousse-cafe'! Yummy!

A cat drinking coffee? That’s frightening!
(okay, I googled it, but that was my first thought BEFORE I googled it.)
After a few B52's are shot down it is no longer frightening to launch your Dragon rocket in the wind.
He's flown twice beautifully!
That makes sense, since the only white dragon in Pern, Ruth, was a runt that everybody liked.
(Actually, these don't match the color palette of Pernese dragons, but who cares.)
I actually got a postcard from her after writing to her about how much I love the series.

Today I put Open Rocket to the test with my Gold Dragon on an F67-6.
Prediction: 686 ft 6.14 seconds to apogee
Actual: 559 ft 5 seconds to apogee
