:clap:The Southern Arizona Rocketry Association (SARA) is hosting Desert Heat 2011 on March 26 & 27 south of Marana, Arizona at the Tucson International Modelplex Association (TIMPA) Site.

There is a standing waiver to 4,500' AGL and call in windows to 6,500'. There is a motor limit in effect - Day time limit is an M and the night time limit is a K.

There is camping (no hook ups) along with rocket and food vendors on site.
For more information check out the SARA Website at www.sararocketry.org and select the Desert heat link in the left sife control bar.

Nothing about the 'featured' projects? You're slipping Roy ;).

Guy - Not slipping, just plugging SARA And Desert Heat. :D

The featured Projects are listed on the event flyer for those that want to see them.

Had this in my calendar, and so wish I could go tomorrow, but I can't!

Thanks go out to all those who participated in Desert Heat 2011.

We had a record-breaking event, with about 1,000 attendees on Saturday and more than 700 launches over the two days, with 78 of them in the H – N impulse range.

The Arizona Rocketry Team highlighted the event with their five-motor 20 foot tall ½-scale SCUD missile!

Local channel KOLD 13 covered the event with two on-air stories https://www.kold.com/Global/story.asp?S=14330621

We have some of the best weather and wide-open space available and are putting Tucson on the map when it comes to rocketry!

Thanks for posting the group pic & links! :)

It is too bad we did not think to take the picture on saturday when the place was really jumping. :D The night launch is always spectacular at Desert Heat and this was another great one that ended with Sean's "Clear as Bell" rocket launched on a K skidmark.
