I have a launch controller thats using a connection to 12 volt battery and then sending power to two different 5 station launch pads. I need a recommendation for connectors I can use for connecting/disconnection my launch control wiring to the stations that is secure and waterproof. Ideally Id like a 6 connection plug for each station. I plan on using 12/2 landscape wiring so would like connectors that would work with thicker wires.

I realize that using relays is better but thats not what I got so please don't make those suggestions.

I found these connectors that are perfect that are 18 gauge, if If I have 30 ft of line from my controller is that guage adequate?

They should be fine. 18 gauge wire is rated at 16 amps for chassis wiring (very short distances) or 2.3 amps for power transmission (long distances). Your application is a medium distance but for a very short time. The resistance of the wire will have a slight effect, but with a decent 12 volt battery you should be fine.

Here’s a helpful chart of resistivity and ampacity:

You might want to consider a 7-pin trailer wiring plug and receptacle. They are relatively inexpensive, weather proof and should be able to easily handle the currents for short duration launch/igniters.
Wow great idea, I know they sell these at Harbor Freight which I need to take a trip to this week.
