Cat-Cam GPS Tracker

Anybody tried one of these?

It seems like it would be a pretty good GPS tracking solution, it SMS's location info to your cell phone so you don't need a special tracker. It's pretty much self-contained, you could probably just hang it from your nose cone so when it deploys you'll get a clear signal to the satellites. Intriguing...

As long as you fly where there's always good cell phone coverage....I know the fields I fly, I can't rely on it. It has gotten better, but I'd never rely on it for tracking.

But you are right.. it might be an excellent tracking solution where the cell phone coverage is solid.
