3D Printing 98 mm av bay.

3d printed av bay - 98 mm dual perfectflite.

STATS -
Printer - Printed on Panowin F1
Material - PETG (Matterhackers)
Temps - nozzle 247C bed 70C
Attachements - holes molded in place - tapped to #2 and #4 without inserts. Note these are machine threads not wood threads.

The Av bay works by screws engaging (2) micro switches.
The micro switches are mounted on formed supports and fastened with (2) #4 screws.
There are (2) battery boxes (9v PP3 form) that are closed with a battery cover that indexes the battery. A small piece of foam (not shown ) keeps the battery from vibrating.
The altimeters mount directly to the av bay on (4) molded in place standoffs each with a #2 pilot hole.
A third 'clocking screw' is in the same plane as the arming screw. This attaches through the coupler and keeps the av bay from rotating in the coupler allowing the arming screw holes to be clearance ones.
There are 2 screws (#2) located between the altimeters, these are used to connect strain release clamps on the charge wires. Holes located below the altimeters are for the charge wires.

Drill Jig - There is a mating drill jig used to locate the three holes in the coupler / swtch band. The drill jig is placed on the coupler using paper to get it straight.
