Oldie but goodie, had great flight today, with all 3 cluster motors (A8-3)s lighting. One of three streamers singed, so came down a bit fast. Fortunately the fin configuration makes the body of the rocket fall horizontal and it landed on grass, so no damage at all. UNfortunately, it landed three feet on the opposite side of the fence. Not a biggie, hopped the fence, nabbed it and brought it back.

Anyway, this is my defiance of the traditional 3FNC rocket!

Becuase of three nose cones, streamers and shock cords, I repack the rocket (without wadding) immediately post launch or things get impossibly tangled. I tape the nose cones on with plain masking tape. When I load them for LAUNCH (takes a while to load three separate tubes) I usually do it the night before (violates recommended practice of packing low power just prior to launch, but hey?!) I use PINK masking tape when loaded for launch with a tab sticking off the side, as sort of "remove before flight" tag, as once to my embarrassment I forgot to remove the plain masking tape I had used before, launched a loaded rocket with nose cone taped in place. As you can imaging, was not an optimal flight.20200619_083747.jpg
