Just found out that they will launch the Delta IV heavy for the 16th and final time ever on the 28th of march:

The you tube broadcast will go live at 10:15 AM ET and will launch at 1:40 PM ET:

I am interested in this rocket, as I have also recently finished the BT80 Orion version of this rocket:

Anyway I thought this would be cool to post since it is the last launch of the Delta IV Heavy. I will be watching it!

It's the end of the whole Delta program. Got to see a few D2s and D4s launch when I was at KSC.
It's about time. :(

I remember interviewing with MD in early '78. I wanted to work on Delta and similar launch vehicle projects. The recruiter said it was just a bunch of grey beards winding things down until Shuttle. He could not be convinced otherwise, but I did get on job on missiles in St Louis.

I need to do a bt80 Vulcan to go next to my delta IV heavy!
Just recently did my own BT-80 Vulcan Centaur but have been reluctant to share it until now, in part because I elected to not make it a flying model like the BT-80 (fairing diameter) Atlas V in my profile pic

Amazing rocket... but... come on. Just think of the launch photo it could have had! There is no such thing as "too pretty to fly". If people didn't take risks, would rocketry even exist? That's just my two cents. Once again, nice model, though!

I think there was a fly in the flight path and they don't want to promote violence...

Yeah I heard something was "redline". Not sure what that means other than the aerotech propellant, but now it makes sense.

Hmmmm.... The youtube video seems to be private, I can't access it.
