Last fall I started a thread asking about sources for 16" airframe tubing. From the responses I got it seems that Sonotube is the most cost effective, especially when needing longer lengths - which would be the case most of the time with 16" tubing!

I have found a source for 16" phenolic tubing - though it is spendy. The company that I found that makes it is Franklin Fibre sold through North American Plastics in my area. It can be had in all kinds of diameters and lengths and wall thickness. I need 16" OD x 3/16" wall. This costs about $54 per foot, with a minimum order of almost 9' (sold in 53" lengths).

I only need a piece 16" long.

ANYONE NEED SHORT LENGTHS OF 16" TUBE? 36" LONG AND/OR 53" LONG?

I do not have a shipping cost yet, but it probably won't be too bad at those lengths.

I get my liners from Franklin Fibre. Note that they are made to order and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery. I've found they are the best prices for phenolic tubing.
