Hey everyone,

You all have been patient with the lack of pics. Sooooo, I have taken the time to work with my CHEAP digital camera and have gotten a few ok pics to share. I am asking my wife for a GOOD digital camera for my birthday in Sept. So away, here is some of the rockets I have.

First I my Warthog, named American Pride. I have flown it 6-8 times, just a great rocket. It even survived a G-35 CATO.

Then There is my ISP Caliper. Here is the way I got my Level 1 in Jan 2003

Here is my Strong Arm. It should make it's first flight during our Aug launch.

And here it is with the electronics bay. I don't plan to do dual deployment with it, I just want to record the altitude. The altimeter I had planned to use with it......... I paid for but never got from a Ebay seller!!!!!!!!

And finally, another shot of the transition. Now I just got to build the rocket........ It's great Sandman!!!!!!

Did anyone notice that I need to do some painting? My ISP Caliper has flown 2 times, both times naked!!!!!!!!!! Any Ideas what colors I should use for it?????

I forgot the most important part.... the pic

Nice rockets....They are very naked...I could hardly see them :D

I like the electronics bays...and your extended caliper ISP looks alot like my Extended Forte...i painted mine Green and Silver

I have been working a rocket I got off ebay last year. I think it is called a sprint???? It was already build or at least started. The guy didn't finish the electronics before he epoxyed the coupler in. So, I have just attached that section to the nosecone. I will make my own electronics bay later. Here is what it looks like after the first coat of primer.

Ok, well then here is my $10 rocket. I got it too off ebay. It has flown several times, great reliable rocket. But it is just ugly as sin....

The Sprint you have appears to be a BSD Sprint.

Is yours the 2.6" version or the 3" diameter version??

Check my web page link below and click on the Sprint page under BSD rockets and you can see what it looks like completed with the stock paint scheme...

My is the 2.6" version. Yours looks nice. My will not be stock by any counts. The guy who build it, messed up the electronics bay. He epoxyied one bulkhead to the coupler and the coupler inside the body tube and that was it. Now I can't get down into the electronics bay to work on it. I am just attaching this section to the nosecone with t-nuts. I will build another bay later, she will fly on motor ejection for right now.

Actually that's the way it was designed so all he did was follow the directions.

Single stage with motor deployment. The bulkhead should be epoxied into the coupler, then the coupler epoxied into the payload section...

I'm building my 3rd and 4th of these right now as we speak.

The 3" I got in kit form from BSD, then i did one in 2.6" version with an AT initiator nosecone and fins from BSD. It's the one on my web page under scratch build in the spiderman paint scheme.

It had a hard deployment due to a bent launch rod (long story) so had been retired. Doin the next two in 2.6" with one being an identical spiderman paint scheme and the second is going to be in a Green Goblin paint scheme...

Here's the original 2.6 scratch I did....

Wow, some design. Yea, that is how it is.....How is the nosecone suppost to be attached to the payload section? Friction fit?

They no longer make the 2.6" version so I had to come up with parts myself.

I'm using ASP body tubes and the AT nosecone, which is a snug fit, i add a little tape just to be on the safe side for a friction fit.

The actual BSD kits come with plastic rivets for the nosecone.

This is how I have handled it. I drilled out a hole in the end of the nosecone, just big enough to get one finger in. Then I drilled two holes in the shoulder of the nosecone and inserted t-nuts through those holes (from the inside) A hole in the payload and finally I put short bolts with washers into the t-nuts.

When the paint is finished drying, I install the nosecone and take a pic for you.

I have been doing a little work on my Sprint. Here is what it looks like after 3 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint. I am going to call it the "Little Pumpkin"

I know I have already posted a pic of this rocket, but there is an addition to this pic..... Check it out

I think in the future I will have to have her hold all my rockets when I take pictures!!!!! She is my little rocket girl

looks very nice

Well, it has a 29mm motor mount.... so I guess I will try a motor like a F50 or G35......

I am going to put another coat of paint and then one or two clear coats........

Well, I've found a little time to do some work on the rocket fleet.

I've added another coat of orange to the Little Pumpkin and got two coats of primer on the nosecone. (I might re-do some sanding on it and repaint some) I am thinking about a black nosecone. You guys think that would go with the "Little Pumpkin" theme?

I've also used my finishing epoxy for the first time... boy that is really different for the stuff I am used to. Talk about thin! Or is just thick water? I put a coat of it on my deuce's wild's fins. And I put a layer around the lip of my ISP Caliper, to strenghten it a bit. I might to be able to put one coat of primer on the Caliper today. (weather primitting)

Pics will follow, I had to take the rocket's inside real quick.... summertime storm is coming!!!!! (and besides my rocket girl is not here to help hold them)

To keep with the pumpkin theme, paint the nose cone green, like the stem! If you wanted black in there, do black vertical lines down the BT.

That might work, but probably only the top part of the nosecone...

I have talked to the creative brain of the house (that would my wife beverly) She agrees about the green nosecone. She has also volunteered to hand paint some details on the green nosecone.
