Anyone used the ACME fin cans? Am thinking of scratchbuilding a 54mm min diameter and want to use one and a limline retainer. Would prefer to use paper tubes so I can glass them (they soak better than phenolic). But am curious of the size issues with the inside of the fin can vs. the outside of the tube. I'm assuming glass before assemble to build up, but what have others done?

When I used a 38mm Acme can, it was over Giant Leap glass tubing. However, I suspect it would be a tight fit if you glassed your tube first. You could search EMRR, I think there is at least one other rocket review, other than mine, that used the Acme can.
