When you get a CF tube from the likes of Performance, it is easy to finish and leave the really nice grain showing. That said if you gave to fix something and need to do some sanding or other heavy work, that kind of gets ruined. Any one have any suggestions on how to get that nice surface back without a center-less grinder? I'm not opposed to sanding, just want to make sure it is the best path (and was wondering how fine I would have to go to reveal that fine crosshatch pattern?

-Epoxy coat
-Sand up to 1200
-Clear coat

I don't think it's that simple for FWCF, because the pattern will be irregular. I don't have any advice to offer, though that's probably close to your best option.
