I am laying out my redundant electronics in my 4" airframe, and I have a question regarding SL100 orientation; The manual does not indicate a front or rear face of the altimeter, and since these altimeters are not accelerometer based, can I mount the two altimeters in opposing directions? This is mainly to aid in wire route layout in the avionics coupler.

With baro based altimeters; it doesn't matter in what orientation they are mounted. Only when, they have an accelerometer on board and depending on the unit they can detect which way is up or down.

If you mount them horizontally so that the baro sensor is pointing up or down, it's possible that G forces may have an effect on the readings due to deflecting the sensor's diaphragm. Any orientation in-line with the body tube is fine.
