We were able to do a 10" thin-wall 38mm airframe tube for those of you that requested parts to make your fiberglass minis into dual deploy. Here are the parts of interest :)

Are you going to be offering any of the thin wall FG rockets as complete DD kits or will we still need to order separate components?

Bill-a link is already posted for the kits. See the vendor forum

A far as I can see there are listings for the kits w/o DD and some links above for components to make it DD.
I don't see a complete kit including DD anywhere for these thin wall 38mm kits.

I can put a package together with 10" airframe, 5" coupler, 1 airframe bp and 2 coupler bp if that works for you. That would mean 1 airframe bulk plate on top of the coupler glued in to the payload and an airframe/coupler bulk plate to act as a removable cap on the aft end of the coupler. What do you think, any other suggestions?

Thanks!
Mike

Considering how small the tube is, I'd rivet or screw the payload to the av bay, and use two plates on each end of the av bay. If you glue it on, it'll be very difficult to wire the main charge or replace shock cords.

I'd expect a payload "kit" to include an airframe tube, a couple tube, 2 coupler bulkheads and 2 airframe bulkheads. If the bulkheads could have a 1/8" hole vs a 1/4" hole, that would be ideal.

Just put a payload/av bay kit out there for the thin-wall 38mm fiberglass:

Includes 10" airframe, 5" coupler, 2 airframe bulkplates and 2 coupler bulkplates.

Sorry Dan, our 38mm BP have 1/4" holes in them - I'll take note for the next run.

Thanks!
Mike

Thanks Mike. Any plans for 2.6 and 3 inch versions? Maybe 12" airframes for the larger sizes?

Good idea - we'll get right on that.

On the 2.6, we already have a 16" payload section in the thin-wall (our 2.6" kits have always been thin-wall). But, doing a shorter payload tube is a good idea.
