He must not be a member of the NAR or others, if so then he wasn't thinking straight or exagerating.

Make sure you build ALL your rockets with 3/16" launch lugs.
This pad is black. All the pictures show a black pad except the last picture. It shows a white PVC pad of the same design I use. Other than that, nice looking pad. Except for the safety stuff.

It is a PVC pad. He stuck a heavy metal plate on a common design PCV pad and is selling it as "heavy duty".

It doesn't look like he had it set all the way to 45 degrees. Nice Hydra, though. Reminds me I need to paint mine.

This pad is a little similar to a pad I posted in another thread.
It would be good for model rockets but not for high power.

I really don't like him posting the fact that he flew in 40 mph
winds and at a 45 degree angle. Clearly and blantant breaking
of safety rules. But you know what, it's people like that who are
not part of TRA or NAR and follow safety codes that give our
hobby a bad name.

I was thinking this same exact thing.

Does any of our Ohio members know him? He is from "NorthCoast, Ohio"

Deffinitely NOT good in so many ways !!!! Even in the pic with the rocket on the pad, that is a lot of tilt and it is tilted towards some people. I am all for a guy trying to make a decent product and sell it. However before he gets to that point he needs to fly safely !!!!

Hey, I email the guy. Here's what I said.

"I was just wondering. You "heavy duty" pad is made of PVC right? You are a very brave soul to launch a rocket in 40 MPH winds at a 45 degree angle."

Guess what he replied with?

"PVC 3/4"

HeHe, he didn't want to comment on the 40 MPH and 45 degree angle. :D

It looks like the seller changed the description. I didn't see any reference to 40 mph or 45 degrees.
