I SIM'ED the rocket on (2) E9-6 and the altitude was 1179' and velocity at deployment was @ 12mph. Pretty good results. If I do the dual 24mm I will use the thin walled tubing to keep the weight down.
Personally, I'd like to see a dual 24mm build. Be better if there some killer 24mm motor retainers making it look like jet engines.

I wonder if I should go with the the heavy walled tubing? If I did and used black powder it might weigh it down some?

You may want to look into the Dynastar Firefox, also designed by our revered SHROX.
This kit will make you scratch your head a couple of times...I really enjoyed the build. As for paint.......:y:
