Picked it up at the Kloudbuster's AIRFest last year and will actually get to launch it at this years AIRFest in a couple weekends.
My first fiberglass kit. Used traditional methods to build. An easy intro into fiberglass. I used epoxy to assemble and some two part epoxy clay for the fillets. After they were sanded down I went back over fillets with the cream body filler to get them smooth. I like how they turned out.
Rocket is red though it seems to appear orange in pics, must be the goofy lighting. I used chrome trim to accent the fins.
Don't know which motors I will try first. Seems it performs nicely on G's according to Thrustcurve. Sub 1000ft to out of sight. Doubt it matters what color a rocket this size is at close to 2000ft.
Parachute is still in the works. I picked out one but think it will be a bit too large if I go for the higher power motors. Will see what I can find at the event.
So if you are thinking about getting into fiberglass rockets, this one is about as easy as it gets. Use proven methods and it builds solid and will be a nice addition to the fleet.
See ya,
Rod
