My 6" Ultimate Endeavour Phred on an M3100WT 10-24-12. I thought I had already posted this.

This was awesome. It really impressed my next door neighbor and his dad. They have flown Estes for years but had never watched a High Power launch. When the motor cut off it was like thunder echoing through the area.
I really need to find somewhere to host my photos so I can do them justice.

I will be flying a 75mm M1160 Green this weekend, does this motor
require grain bonding?

Thanks, Darrel Kelley

Love the CTI smokey motors, flew WPI's Competitor 3 on a J380 at CMASS last weekend, flew like a charm and ignited instantly!

Thank you, Jeroen for your quick response! Gary, I'll be flying it in a
MadCow Frenzy XL, sims to around 13,000' ! I'll post a video of the
flight as soon as I can edit it.

Very nice flights Gary. Was the 5.5 Nike dual deploy? I have the 5.5 Smoke built and have flew a number of times. I should get a section of tube and make mine DD.
GP

Gar its redundant DD. Its not going to look right if you stretch it though. It can be done as is you just have to be a bit more creative when packing your chutes.

Gary, your are are right about the Nike not looking right if you stretch it. I did that to my Polecat Nike Smoke. But if you don't look at it as a Nike Smoke, the stretched version flies great for large motors in DD mode. If I had to do it again, I would probably do the Smoke in scale proportions for DD.

Gary do you use separate chute canons? Or a tether with a drogue to pull out the main when the tether fires? Or?
Jeff

And you've flown it more than a few times! I see youtube has it plenty. Do you still use a piece of masking tape across the chute canon? I've seen that thread before. Beautiful work.

Jeff I've used the tape a few times with no problems. I now use a piece of 2" high density foam rubber cut round to about a 4.25" OD. Put a hole in its center then run the shock cord through it, it fits snugly into the 4" chute tube.
