Has anyone flown their black star voyager yet... im curious as to how well it does... i am about to buy one but i hate shelf queens as much as i hate garage queens... as cool as the rocket looks currently i would rather get one that is a a good flier and put this one on hold

This is a great question, I just finnished mine thursday and there are several others under construction here on the forum. I guess several weeks ago it was, who's going to be the first to get one, now it's, who's going to be the first to fly it. You can bet mine will deffinantly see flight, I don't build them to sit, but *when* is the question.

yeah i saw yours and it looks amazing... also i have seen a couple other people building them... but i have not been able to find anyone who has flown theirs other then JMZ's 54mm 2.5x upscale

Yea, I saw that thread also, that thing is *huge*. He built that before the Estes model was ever released.

Yeah when i first saw his thread i was like "ok how are you doing an upscale of something that isnt out yet... @/$& it... that thing is cool..." lol... i also may go your route and buy one and if it crashes it crashes...

Im kinda hoping one of the estes guys one chime in on this as well

Joe's upscale was a beautiful flight.

Haven't flown one myself, but I saw a flier with one at the last launch at NASA Houston. Flew on an F35W IIRC. Nice, straight flight, easy recovery. Well-built rocket. Don't remeber altitude, but it wasn't that high.

im not worried about height... i got it for the challenge of the build... nice to know it had a straight flight though... i am really looking forward to this build and cant wait to start on it...

yeah when i first saw it i was pretty amazed... i sure hope it is a fun build and not a giant PITA... lol... according to Closet Astronauts build thread it wasn't too bad... ill probably make an or file for this as well
