I wanted to hand Tim 20$ to stick a skidmark in there instead, but I think I would leave Bong in a body bag.

Not true, you will be fitted with a pair of cement golashas and taken to the southern swamp...

I have to launch at Bong. I'd rather QCRS just because I hate trees... But for this to work, I need to go where Tim goes, and he'll be at the WOOSH launch.
Doctor gives wife an envelope tomorrow, we bring envelope to Tim (along with a motor case), Tim fills that motor case with the right motor, we launch...

If he forgets to install those O-rings you might be in for quite a surprise...:surprised:

3...2...1!

WooooooOOOOOO!...Phhhhhhhffffft!

"And, there were pieces and, parts flying everywhere...Not long after my wife gave birth to quintuplets..."

Good luck and, enjoy the moment my friend, what an beautiful idea for finding out what your next child will be.......and, what *Uncle Gus* will terrorize over the course of he or she's life. ;)

Laugh it up sparky... You're next... ;-)
Thanks everyone, I'm really excited. We've got the envelope in hand, just waiting for Saturday morning

So how does this work? Wildman picks a blue propellant if a boy... Pink propellant if a girl? (But Tim doesn't stock Loki Cocktail motors...)

Yes. CTI makes a pink and a blue. We're going with the 38mm 5-grain size. He's already got both set aside for us. Luckily, the thrust curve is almost identical since I think it's a combination of their red and blue grains. No thanks on the Loki... I'd like to get my rocket back in one piece. ;-)

What!?! Jeez. You've been brainwashed by Tim (not Dixon) Lehr.

Unless Scott wants to send me a free motor to convince me otherwise...
Let's just leave that alone before it gets out of hand...... LoL...
Back to baby talk!

Had a dream last night that I opened the envelope and it was a boy... Psychic???

First you make the comment: "No thanks on the Loki... I'd like to get my rocket back in one piece. ;-)" and when Dixon calls you out on it, "Let's just leave that alone before it gets out of hand." You go and poke the bear and then want it go away, that's a neat trick. Take a look at every video I've posted on YouTube in the last three years or so. Every LOKI motor I have filmed worked perfectly, accept it.

Take pics of the baby flight tomorrow... :)

I wasn't originally going to say anything either but I have never heard of a Loki motor CATO'ing. CTI on the other hand, heard of several, especially the larger 38mm 6GXL motors.

Unless you actually had a Loki motor CATO, you really have no right to bash them.

So far, looks like the possibility of good weather (although a little chilly). Forecast shows 4 mph winds... You may stay out of the swamp. Maybe...
Good luck. Wish I could be there.

Adrian

I wasn't going to touch this either. I have seen exactly one Loki motor have an issue, and it was likely due to a snap ring either not being fully seated or failing. Scott is making some unique and kick ass motors. You do not hear about them failing much either.

Any manufacturer can have failures. I have personally flown almost all AT, and I have had a couple failures. I have also seen others including the DMS thrust ring issue up close. I have only flown about 10 CTI motors, and had one spectacular motor failure at MWP last fall on my L3 cert flight due to what was determined to be a liner failure. I have seen others have issues with CTI as well.

My point is that anybody can have failures. Poking the bear as Justin put it is an unwarranted shot. We all know there is an issue between Scott and Tim, but what bearing does that have on the quality of product he is making now?

Seriously? I wasn't the first person to mention Loki and you all have no sense of humor. Did you not see my winky face? And, to be fair, I've seen lots of Loki failures. I've also seen lots of AeroTech and CTI failures as well...........
Now... Back to my thread about my upcoming child.
Yes Adrian, the weather looks okay except possible cloud cover. Let's hope the ceiling is over 2000, otherwise I'll have to go with the CTI 24mm-6 grain motors, and that's just sad. If I could fly at QCRS for this, I would've gone 54-5 grain.

And yes, pics and videos will be posted ASAP. Any chance I could convince Justin to do the filming? I promise I'll wait to push the button until you're ready. ;-)

Gentleman?

Grown adults here-;)

Ok, kids with deep pockets and, too much time on their hands. *scratch that one*

Kids handling hazardous materials, organic and, composite materials in their hands...:p

Can i insert a little "Gus Hum:eek:r" here and, get things back on track?

G:rolleyes::rolleyes:d.

Eric? If its a girl what other names have you come up with...just in case?

If Anne and, i had ever had children i always wanted a Rhiannon! :D Sadly Anne informed me that she would never name a child after a Welsh Witch.

-Dang foiled again...:sigh:

So then i thought, let me try this...How about Murgatroyd! :D That's a cute one!

-Shot down again...:sigh:

Moonpuppy? That got a Stilleto heeled shoe thrown at me! HA HA! Missed woman!

*SMACKO*

She didn't with the second one though...

Whatever you choose...I want you to do this for me.

Go to your backyard and, yell the agreed upon name for your new but, still yet too be born child (when the gender is determined)...TWELVE TIMES VERY LOUDLY!

If your comfortable with the results, i'm sure you'll be for the rest of your life and, happy marriage.

Good Luck tomorrow and, may the Gods of divine wind, fire and, blessed acceleration lead you to a memorable day!

Ummmm, I hate to rain on one's parade and be a fuddy dud but one's offspring might develop interests of their own and have no desire to pursue the old man's pastime. My better half holding the rocket in the avatar has no desire
to partake in any hobbies. Daughter had more desire in clarinet, marching band and chemistry in that order. Son had the misfortune of autism so life is simply difficult for him. Count your blessings if they're healthy, normal and not be concerned
as to what hobby they become a party to or elect not to partake of in life. Kurt

I'm kind of partial to the Annabelle Lucille, my daughters names are AnaBelle and Lucile. Lucile was my grandmothers name.

My dad's mom was Lucille, too! She just passed away last year, hence the "Lucille" being at the top of the girl's list. I've always wanted to name a girl Annabelle... Wife wouldn't agree to it with our daughter. I'm an English teacher/literature buff, so many of the names are literary... Annabelle from Annabelle Lee (Edgar Allan Poe)

CZteacherman... What about naming the baby VMax? It's a perfect boy or girl name!

On a less important note- does anyone have a good website suggestion that shows estimated cloud height? NOAA only has percentage, and I've got plans to fly to the 3500-4K range if weather is good.

AnaBelle's name is actually AnaBelle Lea, we did pick a non-standard spelling and captalization on purpose.

How about Otis for a girl or Cletus for a boy... No??
Oh well, I tried to bring harmony to the family
You best be calling me after you've recovered the rocket! Darn, I wish I was going...
Things have settled down some, but I don't think enough that I can leave yet...

Adrian

It was a successful flight with DD working perfectly.

Oh wait- that's not what you wanted to know?

Sorry- I'll let Czteacherman spill the beans.
