I have joined the ranks of level 1 flyers yesterday
at the monthy sport launch at mc2's beautifull field I had success
in getting my level 1 cert
I flew my loc ezi-65 on a pro-38 244h153 38mm reload
the flight was flawless except for an early ejection
rocksim stated that a 5 second delay would be ideal for my set up
the winds were up so i opted for a 7 second delay
I estimated about a 3-4 second delay was what I got!
the chute ejected slightly before apogie and the rocket drifted FAR from the launch site into heavy thicket.
after wading thru the thicket for what seemed like a 1/4 mile I stopped within 15' of my rocket.luck was on my side
the kit was recovered without a scratch.high 5's all around!

Great job! Just an FYI, you said winds were up so you went with a longer delay. Higher winds should call for a shorter delay. Good thing you did what you did, though...who knows what that 5 second delay would have done to you?

Way to go Styme!!! Big congrats guy and welcome to the ranks of HPR. Sounds like you had a really good time and that is great; you will remember that launch for a lifetime!

Once again...way to go,

Carl
