Hi everyone,
I figured there might be interest in a thread where we shared interesting programs we find on various streaming channels. There's some pretty interesting stuff out there, often unsung and off the beaten path. Whether it's scifi, fantasy, documentaries, or any other content, I'd like to hear about it.
To kick it off here are three entertaining shows:
1. I'm currently watching season 1 of "Raised by Wolves" on HBO Max. There are two seasons so far. It is set on a colony world, in the aftermath of a war on Earth between the Mithraics and the Atheists. Plans for a pair of androids to start an Atheist colony didn't go smoothly; then a Mithraic arkship shows up. So far the show is better than it sounds; I never heard about it until I was reading some random review of it on my phone.
2. Strange Angel, on Paramount Plus. I've got a whole thread on this show somewhere here in the Watering Hole. All I can say is that if you'll just watch one show this year that combines rocketry with the faith of Thelema, make it this one. It's a shame it was discontinued following a very short season 2.
3. Tales from the Loop, on Amazon Prime. A really touching series, focused on "The Loop" which is a physics research installation. Lots of weird things happen, somewhat interconnected though each episode is unique on its own.
Very often I stumble on random stuff that's better than the more heavily advertised stuff. What fun things have you found?
