No luck finding it using a search. Anyone know if the ft-65r has a functional signal meter for rdf?

Thanks, Brad

I had no trouble finding the manual on the Yaesu web site.

Yes and page 22 doesn't explain the function. But thanks, you've helped a lot.

Brad, Try emailing Yaesu and posting on a Ham radio site or Fox Hunting blog. The more costly the rig, the more likely
it has a true signal strength meter. I do know the Baofeng stuff the signal meter is all on with transmitting, all off with
no signal. Kurt

G1WZM did a nice review down the page at that link above. Looks like it would be an acceptable rig for RDF and certainly would be usable with a KISS B/T TNC
for APRS tracking. Kurt

I did email them. Yes it is a true meter. Good to know because many reviewers claim it is a baofeng rebranded.
