EVENT XPRS Launch by AERO-PAC 13-15 Sept 2019

High/low power launch at Blackrock presented by AERO-PAC. Contests for fastest, highest most EXTREME rockets. We will also be attempting the "50 for 50" Apollo Memorial Launch. Bring your moon program launch vehicles and launch as many times as you can to help us reach 50 launches in 3 days. Any size any motor. Most launches of same vehicle wins a prize as well as bragging rights. See website for details (aeropac.org).
The FAA waiver this year is 60,000' daily (0700-2200) and 2 hour morning windows to 250,000' (0900-1100). Night Launch Saturday.
NOTE: You must print out the BLM Access Permit and the Directions to Launch Site documents (aeropac.org) and carry them with you in your vehicle and show them to BLM personnel if you are stopped and they ask you for them. This is due to the restricted access imposed by the Burning Man use permit.
If you plan on flying over 40K ft you must get pre-approval from the AERO-PAC Board and if flying over 50K ft you must get TRA Class 3 approval even if it's a Class 2 rocket, form available on the website. All info and forms are available on the aeropac.org website. The playa still has some wet areas so stay on the main track to the launch site.

XPRS is just about 2 weeks away. Weather looking good. BUT we're still in need of help with Range Duty. Please see our webpage (aeropac.org) "Range Duty Signup" and volunteer for a shift of your choosing, RSO's must be L2 or higher. If you're a new rocketeer doing a shift is a great way to meet a bunch of really nice folks, learn more about how a range runs AND it helps us make sure that we can launch the entire waivered time. Your efforts will be greatly appreciated by all your fellow rocketeers!!!
