Love Aleen's Tacky glue. Use it quite a bit for low power rocket builds! Not to start a glue war, but I think it's a step up from Elmer's Glue All.
As with all glues, I think it's a preference and what you're familiar with.Just curious: is there an advantage to using Aleene's Tacky Glue (other than it dries clear)?
I really don't know, though it seems less 'runny' than Elmer's/Titebond.Just curious: is there an advantage to using Aleene's Tacky Glue (other than it dries clear)?
My original Centuri version gave me a decent glide about half the time. My current one from the Squirrel Works is about the same. And even when it “glides” it’s still closer to “falling with style” than what you’d typically call gliding.Added more clay, played with the elevon tabs. (Should have recorded the weight I added.)
Don't have a good feeling on this one, guys. One glide is ok, and the next isn't. I don't think I got the fins aligned right, but we shall see.
Very cool. Looking very "Dynasoar-ish":Check out the pix of a modified clipped wing Bug in this old Enerjet News article about lofting one on a scale Saturn V:
