    AK, here it is.

    As for my 2.000000000001-
    The US.
    Obviously.
    And Germany.
After we graduated from high school a buddy and I went canoeing for a week in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
One morning in DENSE fog we missed a turn (pre-GPS days) and ended up about 2 miles into Canada.
    The fog was so dense,
    How dense was it?
We could just make each other out at the other end of the canoe.
    That's pretty dense.
Well, we, uh, ran into an island and amazingly were about 5 feet from a trail to a ranger's cabin.
No one was there, but the map showed only 1 ranger cabin in the area so that had to be it.
We turned around and paddled back to where we needed to turn.
By then the fog was lifting and we found it.

5 if you use the rules from the states thread:

US, Canada, Greece, Ireland (airport, long enough for a pint of Guiness), France (in the plane, on the runway for WAY too long, my feet never touched the ground.

Oh yeah, and Key West, they declared their independence sometime in the 70's.

    Cath

    3.

US, Canada and California (they're out there enough to be considered their own country. By that same logic, you might say I've been to 4 countries and add Quebec to that list...)

I've been to Panama twice in the last few months. It's not the old Panama. It has become an investment area now. Lot's of people buying up property and lots of business moving in. It's like Costa Rica was 10 years ago.

    32.

    In order of appearance:
US, Peru, Argentina, Brasil, Panama, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Switzerland, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong (when it was a British Territory), Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sicily, Bahrain, Fiji, Thailand, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Oman (spent several hours in Iranian territorial waters, but I'm not counting that), Samoa, Aruba (technically, its the Netherlands), Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica.

From reading the lists of countries visited, it's almost possible to see who was in the military (and which branch of the military), or possibly a civilian military contractor.

As for how many I've flown rockets in, well, I'm not allowed to say how many I've launched missiles in.... :kill:

According to the laws of maritime tradition, I am a member of:
The Order of Magellan (circumnavigation of the Earth)
The Order of the Ditch (Passage through the Panama Canal)
The Order of the Shellback (Crossing the Equator via ship, and undergoing the requisite purification ceremony)
The Order of the Golden Dragon (Crossing the International Date Line via ship)
The Order of the Spanish Main (Passage through the Caribbean via ship)
