Yikes! Mr. Snow Mister has arrived. Shelter for safety. Way too dangerous to drive on that snowy death powder. ;)
I had to drive home. They closed work at Noon. Walking across the parking lot was scary. Please do not ask me about the drivers!

Started snowing here (about 45min north of Charlotte) at about 1pm. Turned to freezing rain a about 6pm. The roads are a mess. Glad I don't have anywhere to be this weekend. Our wood stove is helping to keep things cozy and taking load off the heat pump.

We've been cold here since Monday. We had freezing rain starting yesterday morning, messed up the roads, turned to snow yesterday afternoon but we only have 2-3" total. My heat pump doesn't seem to work very well below 35F so we've been running on electric resistance heat all week. I told my wife I'm getting tired of being stuck in the house and have to get out and go somewhere tomorrow.

10 inches on sunday. Another 4 inches today. Temps haven't been above 25F since New Years....and I'm not really that far north.

It's definitely a little bit cooler this January and last. Then again, we are only 11 day into it.

That actually sounds like winter. I'm hearing the neighbor's snowblower, but I'm not sure it's deep enough for that

I’m just north of Buffalo NY. We got maybe 2-3 inches of snow overnight and I used my nice new electric snowblower to clear my driveway. Much less effort required than shoveling.

Yes, colder than last year so far for sure. We really only use the wood stove when it gets down to the mid 30's or lower. Last winter I went through about a cord and a half, I'm already at that amount this year. And it looks like the colder air will be with us for the foreseeable future.

We only saw about an inch of accumulation here before the snow turned to freezing rain. Starting to melt already.

I got stranded in the snow in downtown Indy on Sunday. It started a little earlier than forecasted and we didn't get out in time. When someone drove down to pick us up, the snow stopped around Anderson.

Last night in Fort Wayne, we got about 3" of light, fluffy snow. Just enough to cover the grass amd the crews have roads clear. The sun is out, the wind is calm, and it's about 28 degrees. It's a really nice Winter day so far.

Must be Augusta. No freezing precipitation here in Statesboro. Was 33 & sprinkling last night.

Just a skiff of powdery dry snow here in the Denviod. Have been daily driving the Corvette and we all know they are completely totaled if any snow falls on them. Nice and sunny so any snow melts fast. Nice spray painting weather in the afternoons while in the mid to high 40's. No runs, no drips, no errors. Watch in dry and cure as it goes on. Second coat in 2 minutes! Wedged in the middle of all the nasty national weather systems.

The warm has started in GA. The snow lasted a little over 36 hours.

BooHoo. I remember having plowable snow in Connecticut in October. Yes, the climate is cyclically changing.

About 3" here, quietly overnight. Already melting but stuck to roads. Layer of black ice under some snow. Most treacherous combo possible. DON'T DRIVE until roads are clear!

Same in Augusta. I wouldn't drive. Georgians can't drive on wet roads.
