Here's my interpretation of the Darkstar Mini as a work-in-progress

It's actually a 2 stage 24mm C11, D, E powered version

Congrats on the L2 ...heard you exceeded my own personal altitude best - its not a drag race, but its on ! Too hard to catch Wayco right now with the 12k+ .. he will hit 20k soon!

Concerning your slick Dark Star...was it painted or just cleared - from this shot looks liquid smooth .

Kenny
Kenny, you know me.....I handed it over to Wayco to paint

He sprayed Dupli-Color Clear Effects on it after I applied the StickerShock Decal that came with the kit. He liked it so much he sprayed his BlackStar and my Dark Jart with it also.

But it is not cheap!

Here is my "Blackstar", a 3" Darkstar I got at last years black Saturday sale. Stickershock holographics:

Flying on an AT K456 Dark Matter at GHS:

Latest flight was on an L935 Imax at ROCStock 38. Here I am loading it at home:

Here is the video of the flight, went to 12,934 ft. and if you turn up the volume on it, you might be able to hear the sonic boom echoing off the mountains:

Aero PAC! Wildman sells them also.

Dennis
I believe the one David has pictured is a Jr. Aeropack does not make a 54mm to 38mm tailcone. Slimline makes one but it looks like everyone is out of stock.

Nope it's a 3" running short stack. The H178DM wouldn't lift the full shot, so I cut out the payload and av bay.

It's a 75 to 54 aeropack tailcone with a 54 to 38 adapter for the 38/360 case. :)

I promise to put a big boy motor in it this summer.

CTI M1810 redline. Sims at about 7500ft. but I really overbuilt this rocket so it may actually be a few hundred feet less. Hope to attempt L3 at URRF this summer. Gotta like a rocket with a sense of humor right? LOL

My M2400:

I need to rebuild it after its flight on an M4500 ended badly (yanked the drogue deployment wires out on the way up...). This thread is inspiring me!

My Darkstar Lite. I couldn't bring myself to paint it because of how awesome it looks already. :D

The Wm jr. is one of my most liked kits. I do miss the metal tip nose cone not on the newer kits. Life goes on.
