Hi folks,
I'm a longtime Kaiju movie fan and have often as a child wanted to grow up to be the guy in the Godzilla suit smashing the balsa wood models. Of course now I prefer to reserve balsa for rockets.
Anyway, with all the recent Godzilla movies (and, the recent Apple TV series Monarch), I've gotten confused.
Not too many years ago, like 2021 maybe there was a movie where Godzilla fought King Kong. Kong had a big axe with one of Godzilla's spine spikes or something. Anyway, if memory serves they team up against an incarnation of Mechagodzilla.
So why are Godzilla and Kong fighting again? Is this a continuation of the 2021 movie or a different universe? I get so confused with movies these days that don't seem to adhere to canon.
