x = (ln(-1)/2)^2 = -2.467 (as posted above)

cosh(x) = (exp(2x)+1)/(2*exp(x)) (see here)

So you're looking for exp(2*sqrt(x)) = -1, which leads you to the above result.

Well, approximately 6 hours of work later, I have determined that there are no real solutions.

The series is equal to the hyperbolic cosine of the square root of x.

WHAT!!!!!

You just tortured everybody for a page and a quarter,, lol...

Now, entertaining as that may have been,,,
it's this end that just pushes the whole bag o rocks over the edge,,, lol...
