So after I build the Estes Big Daddy and Estes Screamin' Mimi I notice how flimsy the balsa I get from michaels is and how hard and strong the Estes balsa is... I usually just do the heavy paper laminating thing but am wondering where to get good balsa? Local hobby shops seem to carry the same poor quality as the craft stores so I guess mail-order... any good places you guys know for hard balsa that is unwarped??? I don't really care about weight so much....

Try light plywood from Midwest. The stuff I usually use is 1/8th inch, three layers and light as balsa. Or try Basswood. I get the lite ply at a hobby shop, but it is available online from several sources. Basswood is usually sold right beside balsa.

well, once we start offering parts, i would *like* to say, FlisKits.

But I really can't right now...

You bring up an interesting question that I will raise in another thread so this one doesn't go off track... :)
