One of my cigar buddies dropped by today and he had been by the cigar shop and picked up the replacement laser lighter that I just have to lay my thumb on a glass window and it gets the torch on. he also gifted me my favorite cigar so we talked for about a half an hour

Hit refresh on Twitter about 6000x following the Barkley's Marathon. 3 Finishers and the first woman to ever finish 4 out of 5 laps (though outside cutoff time). God help next year's particpants.

If you don't know what this race is look up the documentary "The race that eats its young" on YouTube. It's absolutely mental. I have -100% desire to attempt this thing EVER.

I spent 7 hours in the casino watching basketball with my buddies. Played a little Keno. No luck. We played some silly slot games and smoked cigars. I washed the Explorer between games. With all the rain it was filthy. Went to the grocery store and bought goodies for my friends. They have gone to bed so the cats came out of hiding and are playing in the garage where I am. Was a nice day.

Have a rather import presentation that is a graduation requirement at my HS, and I don’t think I did too well… I kept stumbling and forgot to breath at one point. But we’ll see, I know I’ll pass, but will I be able to get a B in the class, I don’t know, it’ll be close
People tend to think their performances are worse than others think. Often.

"He did not know how well he sang, he only heard the flaws." -- Harry Chapin.
(The critics gave Mr. Tanner a B, without commenting on the flaws.)

What's the class? If it's a public speaking class then the flaws are probably more important than if it's almost anything else, where the content is what really matter.

It was for out English class, it was supposed to be on the argumentative/research paper we wrote last year, but mine was just research orientated. So I guess my presenting skills wont be criticized too much, hopefully. But I should probably take a public speaking class at some point...

Can I ask what that is?!

Rich, deep, dark, smokey campfire flavor.

When I use to play trumpet solos, my wife would ask "You had to have been happy with that performance?".....Nope, always something. :(

This year was wild to watch. First finishers in six years. And yeah, next year will probably be even uglier than usual.

Finalized all my flights and hotels for the Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hill Climb in August. Going to fly into Baltimore, get some legit crab cakes at Koco's Pub and road trip with my Dad (who lives in PA) to the race and back. Should be a nice trip.

Woo Hoo! Footy is back on TV! Unfortunately, it's on between 3:00 and 6:00 in the morning (Saturday morning). I'll be asleep. We've got a launch tomorrow, and I'm going to get a good night's sleep. I get picked up about 7:00am so we can make the drive and get the pads set up bu 10:00am. Wish I had a DVR.

Sat in the casino with my buddies watching the NCAA's. For the first time ever a 16 seed beat a number 1 seed. I finished the day a little up. Played some Keno. No luck at that today. More basketball tomorrow.

Swept the house, diagnosed the PSU on my Ender 3, straightened the office, epoxy the claymore mine to the trailer hitch adapter, painted my Traveller Type-S Scout. The rest is rocketry related and will be posted there.

It happened twice in this tournament, Purdue vs Fairleigh Dickinson and Alabama vs Texas A&M

UMBC beat UVA in 18. That was the first time it happened. Still.increadible.

Went to fix my Sony 46" LCD TV. Would not turn on, again. Thought it had blown a fuse, again. We have had so much trouble with these Sony TVs I will never buy another Sony again.

Anyway, much simpler job than I thought. Remote was intermittent on the power button and some others. Disassemble, cut out the defective conductive pads and glue on, with RTV, replacement pads. 16 replaced. I'll give it a couple of days for the RTV to cure, then reassemble.

Also doing some tidying up around the house and workshop.

More seat time in the casino sports book. We didn't do well in the morning. Came back in the afternoon. My buddies were complaining about how the picks were turning out. I said I could flip a coin and do as good as researching the teams. Reading the pro tips, etc. So on the last two games we were going to watch I flipped a coin. Heads the favorite. Tails the underdog. Won both bets. Crazy. I think I'll do the same thing tomorrow. Flip the lucky quarter.

Found a footy match on TV (Hawks vs Bombers). Flipped between that and "Nanci Griffith; Best of Austin City Limits" on PBS. Fell asleep on couch after about 45 minutes. Now I can't get back to sleep.
