Can I suggest using a longer recovery harness if you are planning on hanging it in a tree again. It would let it hang closer to the ground. Unfortunately it would be less like the production product for proving flight performance and robustness.

My initial plan for the next test flights involves talking a neighbour on the bottom of the ridge into using his near treeless hayfield!

My son helped me put the decals on a Crossfire and a Bullet Bobby today. He wants to see Bullet Bobby fly this weekend if the weather is nice. I really hate that Estes only includes decals for one side on some kits, it feels cheap. I'd like to built and upscale with proper paint and decals all around.

Nose cone weight added to my madcow PAC3 4 inch. Used the wooden dowel method with epoxy and bebe’s. Cut dowels and sanded and sanded and sanded lol then primary and paint completed

Actually this was over the last couple of days... I have to work in teh office this week and it severely restricts my evening time... But it was time to attempt some body tube repairs. Pigasus had a pretty bad rumple:

I slit the inside surface lightly, soaked it in water, and used a coupler to hold it fairly in shape while it dried:

After it fully dried, I wicked the super-thin CA into the flattened area. It isn't perfect, but....

The pig will fly again!
(I'll do some more cosmetics....)

This is my first attempt at soldering a Egg product. I have done a lot soldering in automotive work. I have soldered reostats and shunt resistors on graphics cards for PC,, assembled bread board wide band O2 sensor controllers.

I picked up a decent iron, light/magnifier holder, picks and tweezers to help work with this smaller stuff.

I have read the instructions a few times, had the plastic organizer and sat down for a bit this evening to give it a go. The back side is done, now.onto the front side.

This is now ready to fly. "Baby Daddy" or maybe "Big Baby"? BT60-scaled Big Daddy. Nose cone base was opened to allow for laundry. Not much room in it. Testors Blue Galaxy paint (looks way better in the sun, so I attached a crappy pic snapped just after it got that paint). All cleared now. The base coat was a fake chrome silver on the bottom, then sprayed a black crackle finish over that so the larger sections were black and then black basecoat up top. That color changing paint doesn't show up much on the silver so it came through the color nicely.

Painted the forward orange stripes on my Doorknob. It seemed easier to mask to put the orange on in two parts.
Your right about the painting. I did something similar with and Iris rocket. Painted 2 opposite sides of black all the way down over the white paint. Turned the upper air frame tube 1/4 and had the checker Board effect.

Wonderful job on the paint!

Finished up the Estes Bullpup that was inspired by @Messedupryan and @GlenP and the Cherokee E that was inspired by seeing it on the rack at HL when I had a coupon...

No pics of the Cherokee yet, but it looks like the face card except that I painted one fin blue to match the nose cone. Here's the 'Pup:
