Thanks. Our club launch is Saturday. So I'll fly it then.
He’s drooling with style! That's impressive. Most patients in post-op are hard pressed to dribble.
Does Chris live next door..?Just took delivery of my new AeroTech Astrobee-D that I ordered from Chris' Rocket Supplies. Ordered it yesterday at 05:35, chose standard shipping, and it was on my front porch by 13:45 today!
Recieved all the parts from Rocketarium to do the Up scale of the Centuri "Astro 1". Coming in at 31 inches long, 2.60 BT-80 airframe and a 24mm Motor mount. Weight comes in about 7 ounces. Made the fins out of Basswood on my Slide Saw. The small Astro 1 in the picture next to the parts is an original 1972 Centuri model.

Did you post this to the wrong thread?Installed the motor mount and attached the fins on Centuri "Astro 1" Up scale
I believe this is true.Did you post this to the wrong thread?
Are we just wildly created or do you have so many boxes you figured you had to put one into good use. Man looks just like one of those squared rocket kits.......and sims to 800 feet , amazing. How do laminate 2 pieces of form board together?Today I finished an oddroc. I used an Amazon box as the body. It's 5" x 5" x 56" It weighs 55 ounces with a chute. The box by it's self was 27 ounces. I put a 38mm mmt in it. I used 1/4" birch ply for the centering squares. I put a 2.2" BT 24" long with 1/8th inch foam board centering squares from the mmt up. Both as a stiffener and to reduce the internal volume. The fins are 1/8th" foam board laminated together to make 1/4" fins. Tacked to the mmt with JB Quik Weld and then epoxy external filets. The nose cone is pieces of the box end put together with hot glue. I put 5 ounces of BB's and epoxy in the nose. Made a cardboard coupler and used 1/4" ply for the bulkhead. Thrustcurve puts it at about 800' on a H182. I'm Calling it Amazon Prime.
I just sprayed the 2 sheets with spray glue. And yes I had a couple of big boxes and they looked like rockets to me. I've got a 5' mailing tube with heavy walls that will be a rocket some day.How do laminate 2 pieces of form board together?

I just finished my upscale Alien Space Probe. Thanks to BigDaddy for his build thread. That's where I got the idea. It's a 3" tube with a 38mm mmt. It's 54 inches tall and weighs 33 ounces with a chute. The legs are 3/8th inch dowels and the feet are half of a 2" aerial fireworks shell. The blue and white vinyl is colored electrical tape and the black around the cockpit windows is 1/8th pinstripe. The silver is craft paint. It will fly on everything from a G80 to a I140. I'm going to use a 58" chute for a 12 FPS landing speed and hopefully stick the landing.
Elmer's Craft Bond.which spray glue?
Thank you very much. Thanks for the inspiration. That turned out great!
My mistake, I will delete it. Thank you.I believe this is true.
