Unboxing my brand new Falcon Heavy from SpaceX. Looks to be a high quality kit, very nice graphics and solid tubes. Clean plastic casting. Not too bad for $29.00

I believe that's a Falcon 9, not a Falcon Heavy. Flew mine a couple of weeks ago, nice straight flyer. I think I had a D motor in it.
Boyce Aerospace has 3D parts to upgrade the 9 to a Heavy. You supply the tubes:https://boyceaerospacehobbies.com/?page_id=1807

Yesterday I did NOTHING. All day I was diligent at doing nothing. Unfortunately, I didn't get it done. I will continue to do nothing today, until I get nothing done!

Today I finished up this small rocket for my little brother!
15.5g without the recovery system. Hopefully, I don't lose this one on the first flight...

Commenced searching for the decal that replaced the one I previously lost. This would be comical if it weren't so outrageously infuriating. OK, I guess it's still pretty comical.

I am beginning to suspect foul play.

Finished my 3D model of SpaceX's Starship. I plan on making an 3in version of it and launching it on some small high power motors (38mm). It will use traditional single deploy with motor ejection and a JLCR.

Files will be posted on Thingiverse tomorrow. Both the nosecone and booster section are 3D print optimized with no substantial overhangs and uniform wall thickness (2mm or 5 lines). Looking forward to having others test it out and see how it holds up. May consider making the fins separately printable with through the wall tabs just to make them more durable. tapatalk_1555653960782.jpegtapatalk_1555653947058.jpegIMG_20190419_010443.jpeg

Good job. The Quark might be the cheapest kit to build. But those SMT parts are the smallest. I think the Quantum is the easiest to assemble.

Spring cleaning (Earth Day). The neighborhood association sponsors a collection of not-usually-recyclable and not-recyclable items.

Getting all of the broken/obsolete electronic off my bench made room for this come up off my office floor -- where its been for two weeks.

Its going to be a while before I can put it together.

Took the opportunity of sorting out the dead ones to get the rattle can collection out of boxes on the shop floor and up onto a shelf where I can see them.

Put the airbrush right there too, to remind me that I am not going to buy any more rattle cans.
